The wooded section of Oak Island includes the areas north of Davis Canal and Oak Island Drive from just beyond Country Club Drive to the far northwest end of the island.
Yacht Drive runs the length of the Wooded Section along the Intracoastal Waterway. Most residents here have views across the ICW towards St. James Plantation or Sunset Harbor. Lots are larger here and the waterfront homes often have docks and boat lifts.
Davis Canal homes are on the South part of the Wooded Section. Davis Canal runs through the center of Oak Island roughly parallel to the Intracoastal Waterway and separates the Wooded Section from the Beach Area. The best way to view most of the Davis Canal homes is by boat.
The homes on the interior are the most affordable on the island. Smaller lots with easy beach access... many within walking distance. The majority of homes here don't require flood insurance. Click on the link below
